Most commercial buildings generate data every minute, yet few can explain why they perform the way they do. That was the problem BEE Incorporations Founder and President Alessandro Bisagni put to the HSBC 13th Annual China Conference in Shenzhen on 1 September 2026, where he presented BEE Sense at the conference’s Climate Tech Innovation Showcase.
BEE Sense is BEE’s indoor air quality and energy monitoring platform. Its AI features turn the data a building already produces into an account of what is driving energy use, emissions and comfort, so that a facilities team is not left to interpret fragmented sensor readings on its own.
During the pitch, Bisagni showed how the platform pairs real-time monitoring with building engineering knowledge to show why a portfolio is underperforming, as well as where. A chiller running inefficiently, an HVAC schedule out of step with occupancy and a facade losing more heat than designed can all look like the same rising line on an energy dashboard. BEE Sense is designed to separate those causes, so owners and operators can act on the right one first.
The invitation drew on more than a decade of BEE’s work as a building engineering and sustainability consultancy. Its LEED and WELL certification work verifies that buildings meet a standard; BEE Sense carries the same expertise into day-to-day operations, alongside BEE’s advisory work on commissioning and performance optimization.
